12 Months of Cam!

I was going to try really hard to keep everything as updated for Cam as I did for Cade and Reese.  And I did really well at first.  His baby book is started, his Shutterfly book of his first month of life is complete, I blogged 3 monthly updates...and that's it.  We've had a crazy year here, people!

So in an effort to not give Cam the total shaft, I will attempt to recount the last year...in pics anyway.

June 28, 2016 7:33AM

Story of Cam post here.

July: 1 Month
(1 Month post here.)

August: 2 Months
(2 Month Post here.)

Cam got to meet the extended family on the Roberts side over Labor Day.

September: 3 Months
(3 Month update here.)

We ventured to Wichita at the start of October to welcome Cousin Owen to the fam!

October: 4 Months

Now here's where the wheels fall off a bit and, I'm ashamed to say it, I forget to take a dedicated "monthly" photo all together!

November: 5 Months
Celebrating Thanksgiving in GB with Great Grandpa Schartz.

And Big Papa too!

December: 6 Months
Cam started sitting up at 5 months and was a pro at it by 6 months.

Baby food time!

Cam's sleep patterns are interesting.  Overall he is a very easy-going guy (hardly ever cries) and he does sleep well...just in 3-hour increments through the night until right at 1 year old.

Who can resist this sweet smiling face?

January: 7 Months

Hanging with the Keeley cousins, Max and Lexi.  The babies of 2016!

February: 8 Months
Very mobile and curious now!

March: 9 Months

Our kids always get teeth at such a young age!  He had 8 teeth by 10 months.

 April: 10 months...also MaKenzie's wedding day!
(I feel like I get a pass for not taking a photo since his 10 month birthday fell on the day of my sister's wedding AND the prom that I sponsor...yes?  #excuses)

First official hair cut

Chillin' in his favorite chair at Aunt Christy's house

May: 11 Months

Standing...in the bathtub here, but not officially walking until right at 12 months.

First trip to the pool!  We had such a great trip to the Oregon Trail Pool and Cam loved it!

June: One Year!
We celebrated with a small shin-dig at my parents' house in GB with some family.  He did NOT love his smash cake and really didn't love the attention of a party altogether.  I do hope to do a separate post about the party (which seems embarrassing to say since I'm still so far behind...but here's to hoping!)

And the final mom fail of the post, we have no stats because he still hasn't had his 1-year well visit yet.  Womp, womp.  (We did get immunizations at the health department in GB but we were right in the midst of the move so we didn't get a well check yet.)  Next week we head to try a new pediatric office here in Arizona.

Crazy Cam completes our bunch and he's always so gracious to tag along with us wherever we are making him go!  His laugh is contagious and he is so smart.  We all love watching him learn and figure out the world around him.  Now I'm off to print off pictures and get that baby book updated!

A look back:

Cammy Jam is 3 Months!!

A lot has happened with our "Cammy Jam" (as I call him--he actually has a lot of nicknames) during the past month.

As you can see, he's started to give us big smiles.  We still have to work for the smiles at times, but he's becoming much more smiley and even laughing some!

I had to pick up a few new outfits that are long sleeves and pants in the 3-6 months size since Cade wore summer clothes through 6 months. Cam is happy to have some new clothes and to actually get to wear pants!

Cam's neck has gotten stronger and he can push his whole upper body up during tummy time!  He can roll from front to back (as of yesterday pretty much) and he's getting more in control each time he attempts.

Cam was excited to meet Grandmama and Big Papa and our extended family from Tulsa over Labor Day.

He got to dress up in this fancy bowtie outfit for our family pictures.

Cam took up residence with me on my bed while I recovered from my surgery on September 8th.  We spent about a week on the bed as I am not supposed to lift more than 10lbs for four weeks after the surgery.  (Cam weighs 14 pounds now!)  So I tried not to lift him much for that first week anyway.  He was a real trooper just hanging out with me on the boppy and the bed.

Cam still loves to sleep!  Not to "sleep brag" but he has been sleeping through the night consistently for the past month.  He takes about 3 naps a day and then sleeps from about 10:30pm-6am and then back to sleep for 2-3 hours after the early morning feeding.  He definitely sleeps 15 hours a day, if not more.

There are a lot of newborn items that I just can't seem to locate from when Cade was little.  It's like I slowly remember outfits, toys, etc. and think, where the heck are those?!  Socks are one of those items...I cannot find all the cute newborn socks that I know we have somewhere.  I located one pair and Cam wore them for the first time to Reese's t-ball game on a crisp morning.  I will keep looking...

Here we are enjoying Reese's game...I think I took this pic to check if he was sleeping or not.

More and more smiles as the month went on.  He's really a very easy-going baby.  He doesn't mind being carted around to everyone else's events, he sleeps a ton, and rarely ever cries.  The ultimate good-natured third child!

I just love this pic of the three of them.  The Squishy baby looks so presidential sitting up so straight and serious with his proud big brother and sister.

Couldn't just walk by the media back-drop at MNU...

Cam remains a good eater--we will have a big transition next week as I go back to work and he starts consistently taking bottles of pumped milk.  We got some extra snuggles in as my maternity leave comes to an end...

A look back at Cam's growth.  Still a big boy and no blonde hair yet.  It's so fun watching this sweet boy grow!
