No photos please...

Not by choice...but I guess it's a direct result of my irresponsibility! I've misplaced the camera charger...so the camera is dead. Won't even turn on. And it's like $70 to get a new one. Seriously? I might as well get a new camera. Can't remember for the life of me where this thing could be. And believe me, I'm trying my hardest to remember whether its disappearance is my fault or Matt's. Worst of all, without a camera to snap random pics at random times my blogging has been deeply affected. At least that's what I'm blaming it on for now. I'll keep you posted.

What season is it now?

I'm not talking about the confusion the weather is causing...I'm talking holidays here. What season is it now? This dilemma mainly involves what kind of wreath should be hanging on my front door now. I can't fool myself any longer into thinking that my Christmas wreath can double as a "Winter" wreath. Especially when it's 60+ degrees outside. But what do you put up now?

This? I'm just not into the home-made crafty Valentine's Day wreaths. Especially since that would only solve my problem for about 14 more days. I have an Easter wreath. Is it too soon for that?

My Famous Husband!

"The Dream Has A Price" was the headline of an article featured in the sports section of the KC Star a couple weeks ago. It's a 2 page article so you have to click "next page" to finish it out. In the actual paper there was a big picture of Matt as well. We must be the poster-people for making sacrifices for the sake of coaching! No, surely somewhere there's a more outrageous story than ours!? So for those of you who haven't seen it...check it out!

CrazyLove Retreat

Went on a retreat with the youth group from church this weekend. It was AWESOME! I tell you what, they sure do things up right at FBC. Very well-organized, fun, and challenging messages for the students. I shared a room with 5 of my favorite high school girls which also added to the greatness of the trip! The content of the retreat was based on the book "CrazyLove" by Francis Chan. More on that later because I've just started reading the book and it is amazing!
We left after school on Friday and traveled to one of the greatest places on Earth, the Great Wolf Lodge. I'd never been before, and while I don't want to blow it out of proportion for those of you who've never been, it was so cool!

The waterpark was much bigger than I expected and a lot more fun! The slides were NOT wussy at all, even the lazy river was a source of entertainment. I could've spent all day in the waterpark! And I practically did on Saturday.

Sunday of the retreat consisted of a trip to Snow Creek in Weston, MO. You know, the place in Missouri where you can ski on their man-made snow? Sounds sketchy, I know. But again, 2 thumbs up. It was really fun! I was plenty entertained just by spending my time on the bunny slopes and the ONE blue pass that I made it down. But hey, that leaves more for me to tackle next year? While I'm very thankful that there's no school today so I can get caught up on my sleep, it was all in all a great weekend!

Contain the germs!!!

It's that time of year--seems like everyone you know has recently been out sick with the latest crud going around. (Question you should reply to--is that how you spell crud?) I, myself, even had to use a sick day this week. How can we combat this? Especially if you work in a school? WASH YOUR HANDS! OFTEN! I try not to be a complete germ freak...but since the janitors don't ever touch the desks, I at least every so often wipe down the tables in my room with Clorox wipes. Yuck, try not to think about it. There's got to be more germs on the desk surfaces than on the toilet seats because at least those get cleaned daily! So take a second to go wash your hands... how bout right now?

Happy New Year!

What a great way to ring in the new year! The McFalls and Harwoods came over for a laid back dinner at Olive Garden and then some crazy Wii action.

These cups Matt got in a Christmas gift exchange were very popular. Funny!

Matt liked the mustache cup for some reason...who do we know with a mustache that looks like this? Hmm...I feel like this reminds me of someone...can't quite put my finger on it...

Thanks to the McFalls and Harwoods for making the trip to celebrate with us!
