Nesting?

Not sure if we're at the "nesting" phase...but it seems like we sure are busy! I left my camera in GB while there for a shower over the weekend so no new pics yet of the growing belly. As of our doctor's visit last Wednesday, I did not gain any weight in the last 2 weeks, I'm not dilated and he hasn't dropped down into the pelvis. And still feeling the burn of the heart burn.

Also:
Finished writing my final master's paper
Matt's AAU coaching season has started (16 year old Mo-Kan team)
Learned how to assemble the pack'n'play (took Matt like an hour...)
Began the sewing unit at school (please let this get finished before I'm gone)
Ordered carpet to finish the basement project up
Planted flowers in the front beds

That's probably all that would interest anyone...but can you tell I'm thinking in terms of checklists these days?!

Getting Educated

No idea who this baby is. But that's irrelevant. Soon they'll be no other pictures on the blog besides our baby I'm sure.

Went to our breastfeeding class this week and I've been trying to compose the blog entry to sum it up. It was...educational.

How many times do you think they use the word "breast" at a breastfeeding class?
I guessed 87 and Matt guessed 37--seriously what was he thinking? We both were way off. 143. And that's only counting the instructor. Not the 45 minute video or when anyone in the class said it. The fact that Matt kept a tally of this really encompasses what I love about him and what drives me nuts about him.

TPs and Such

Okay experienced moms of boys...do I need one of these?

My aunt sent me the link and I just think these are hilarious! I can't decide between the baseball print (since there is no basketball print) or the weiner dog print.

I kinda like the irony of the weiner dog print.

This Bippity Boppity site had lots of neat items! But this is going a little too far I think.

"Zoom Spoon - this new, fun and effective way to feed your child. The zoom spoon is an airplaine spoon that is fun for everyone! The zoom spoon's cockpit lights up and plays music while it flies carrying food to your baby's mouth. Keeps baby entertained and focused making mealtime much easier and enjoyable. The zoom spoon comes packaged with "Finicky Philip and the Picky Eater" - a book about a little boy who does not like to eat his food, but would rather play and throw it, until Zoom Spoon came to the rescue! You will love this combination and so will your baby! Comes with battery and three detachable spoons that easily come out for washing. This is a great toy as well for your child to enjoy for hours."

15 bucks for a fancy spoon that lights up and sings? I can imagine I have a few students who ate from spoons like this...

35 Weeks

...and my new hair do too!

Although I feel like I'm just reverting back to my old hairdo really. It's like it's a less cute version of my hair 2 years ago. But I'm sure no one analyzes it quite to the depths that I do. Maybe it's just the "newness" but somehow even though there's 6 inches less now it takes LONGER to do. I'll have to get that under control before I become a mom...in 32 days!

Easter

While Matt was at the Final Four in Indianapolis I traveled to GB for Easter weekend. Had an enjoyable time with the fam. We, of course, had our holiday photo shoot. I'm not really liking those much these days. Especially when I have to stand next to super-trendy Gentry and Malibu Barbie MaKenzie. :)

I did enjoy dyeing Easter eggs, and Mom always gives GREAT Easter baskets! Baby K got one too!

Our beautiful eggs! Well, kinda. We always lose momentum after the first one or two...

One of the last trips to GB without a lot of baby gear in tow!

MNU Banquet

The season officially wrapped up with the MNU Basketball banquet last week. I was so tired that evening I wasn't sure if I was going to go, but I'm so glad I did! They had a little shower for Baby K included with the night. The guys brought gifts (must have been picked out by their moms or girlfriends because they gave us some great stuff) and Holly even made a cake!

Future Pioneer?

Seniors

Coach Lamar's wife, JoMama

Sidenote: Jo is such an inspiration to me! She graciously opens her home up constantly and is always coordinating meals and events for the team. She is one of the most generous people I know. They constantly have a handful of MNU students living with them or staying at their house and you will NEVER hear her complain about having to whip up meals to feed 30+ at the drop of a hat. She also is the type that makes you feel like a champion for hosting a small tiny thing or helping out in some way even though she herself has put in 10 times the effort I have. Anyway, just wanted you to know, she's GREAT!
Further sidenote: notice my disgusting hair. It is time. I can no longer go on putting in such minimal effort. So I'm going to cut it. The appointment has been made. There's no turning back now.
Back to the banquet...

Good food and a great evening...now bring on the next year!

Rock Star

I came home from school the other day to find this guy in the living room. He's obsessed with Guitar Hero and "performs" regularly with his "band" (they call themselves Exit) consisting of himself and his friend Adam who lives in the neighborhood. However, they are pretty talented if I do say so myself. :)
